Clear skies continue

Clear skies continue Happy Saturday, Central Oregon! Our skies have stayed clear, with the absence of clouds, smoke or otherwise. That trend should continue, for the most part, as we have pretty consistent winds pushing smoke from the massive Bootleg Fire in Klamath County to our south and east. Those northwest winds should continue to start the week, but could get strong Monday night, with gusts forecast to top 30 mph. High temperatures over the next few days will remain within a few degrees of 90, but we will see a trend of cooler nights continue when we see Wednesday’s low drop all the way to 48 degrees.

More hit-or-miss showers, storms before sunshine arrives!

More hit-or-miss showers, storms before sunshine arrives! Ethan Emery BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - After what was a sticky Saturday that had some places dry while others drenched from showers and storms, we’ll have more of the same heading into Sunday, though coverage doesn’t look to be as widespread as Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning could also feature some areas of patchy fog as the surface is soaked for some, which will aid in fog development with clear skies and light winds. The fog development would likely develop around the Barren River Lake, Green River Lake, Lake Cumberland and Dale Hollow Lake areas as they had the brunt of the action on Saturday.

Yellow Alert Saturday for locally heavy rain

First Alert Weather Team Created: July 16, 2021 07:42 AM ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)   The First Alert Weather Team will discontinue the Yellow alert after midnight Saturday morning.   A flash flood watch has ended for all of Western New York, but a flood warning remains posted for Irondequoit Creek through Sunday.  In addition, area creeks and streams are running very high but should recede slowly over the next 24 hours.   Thus far the more significant rainfall totals have been over the western counties of Wyoming and Genesee where rainfall amounts were in the range of 3 to 5 inches.   The Rochester Airport measured almost 3 inches of rain which set a new record for July 17.  The old rainfall record, which was just 2.04 inches, has stood since 1873.

Cooler for a short time, hazy for a while

Cooler for a short time, hazy for a while Happy Friday, Central Oregon! Skies they will stay clear Friday night, but the smoky haze will return. Lows will be in the 40s and 50s, with lighter winds after midnight. Average temperatures Saturday will be accompanied by clear skies and more smoke. High pressure centered well to our southeast will hold cooler air at bay, and the warm temperatures will return. Highs will be in the mid 90s. A few thin clouds Monday and Tuesday will fail to yield any showers. Highs through next week will be in the low 90s.
